How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
This question will be answered in the form of video/slideshows with voiceovers, and in the form of writing.
Cross Media Promotion – website links, pictures, video/slideshows of other films and their use of cmp, voiceover of us discussing CMP and relating it back to our own products.
· Discuss how and why cross media promotion helps
· Discuss how other media producers promoted their media product through creating promotional material accessible across a wide range of media (smartphones like blackberries/iphones, ipods, PCs, the internet etc.)
· Show and discuss the view of the poster on a billboard, facebook ad, bus stop etc. as well as how it would look on a website.
· Show and discuss images and/or videos of members of the audience accessing our media products on their blackberries and iphones/ipods.
Continuity – screenshots, pictures and writing.
· Discuss the continuous use of the colours red, black and white.
· The fonts used across the media products.
· Discuss where we have used a different font and why
· Discuss our use of production design
· Our “behind the scenes’ pictures in production of the trailer being used on the cover of the magazine.
Combination of the products – how well do they go together?
· Video a handful of people viewing the magazine front cover, poster and trailer and commenting on whether they think the three products correspond with one another.
· Show an example of another film’s poster, it’s appearance on a front cover as well as it’s trailer and comment of the effectiveness of the combination relating it back to our own.
Additional content, extending an audience’s experience - video/ writing/ pictures/ links to websites - interview of ourselves discussing this and discussing examples of other film companies that extended their audience’s experience and how effective we felt it was.
· Discuss how we could extend our audience’s experience of our film and which form of additional content would we offer – relating back to our 3 products and how well they go together
