Evaluation Plan: Question 4

How did you use media technologies in the construction, research, planning, and evaluation stages?

Research:
-          YouTube: Example teaser trailers
-                           Textual Analysis
-          DVD’s with teaser trailers
-          Internet: Google, Empire.com, Total film.com
-          Make up special effects websites
-          Tutorials: on cameras, Photoshop and final cut pro
-          Survey monkey
-          Facebook (Questionnaire)
-          Film websites ( Textual Analysis)

Planning:
       -       Practise using video cameras (test run/shots)
Was it helpful, did it reduce the time when it came to the real thing?
     -        Setting up equipments and getting used to using it
              Who was there to help?
Who done make up, setting up, holding lights…

Production:
  - Knowledge on equipment
- College computer networking won’t allow us to access facebook (would have been useful)
-Filming: How we white balanced
              -  The importance of counting in and out when filming (to give pre and post roll footage – we can use examples of footage we did not use)
              - Manual exposure – to create low key footage
             -  Use of lights, tracking, hand held camera…
Photography: Trying different shots
                           Lights
                           Props/positions

Post production:
      -      Final cut pro and Photoshop:
                                       What we learnt
                                       What we done/used and why
Downloading fonts (face your fears) copyright free
                                       Different brushes and strokes
Audio (asked for permission and added keys to make it our own)

Print screens, pictures, footage, tutorials will also be used to answer this question
