Research- Photography (techniques etc)

As part of our A2 media course work in our groups we had to create a magazine front cover and movie poster, in order to execute this task I had to carry research into photography within studios and photography techniques this entailed me to research into lighting and positioning and what was best to achieve a horror themed movie poster and an authentic movie magazine front cover.
In my research I came across website http://www.ephotozine.com I found advice on lighting, I learnt that by adding a reflector panel it fill in the shadows on the opposite side of subject being photographed even the colour of the reflector is important because it should match with our light source which was a soft box, soft boxes give a soft light and example can be found below.

Within our course work we had to pay attention to the camera angles we chose to use because with each angle it gives off a different connotations.
