Horror Research: Sub Genre- Comedy Horror

Comedy horror/ horror comedy is a sub genre in horror films which is now becoming more and more popular. As stated from the title a comedy horror is a horror film that contains elements of comedy in it too. Comedy horrors are popular since they make the audience laugh one minute and jump up the next minute. American comedy horrors are the most popular example of American comedy horrors would be: Drag me to Hell, The Evil Dead, Ghostbusters and the Scary movies.

Based on the way in which the poster for scary movie is presented we are

able to tell that it may not be a serious scary movie based on the way in which the characters in the image are presented to us. Since it is a horror would expect to see a lot more serious scared faces however there body language or facial expressions (NVC) doesn’t show us that.
